Film and Animation

Dylan Albertson is both a filmmaker and animator; directing and animating their own projects and Camera Assisting on productions, Dylan has a range of skills from illustration, painting, composing frames and pulling focus.

This 48 second micro short film, “Worms of Wisdom,” (2026) was commissioned by Flora Bodega for their annual Worm Parade in Oklahoma City.

For Small Creatures

For Small Creatures (2025) is Dylan Albertson’s directorial and animation debut; paid for by grant funding awarded through the University of Central Oklahoma’s Office of High-Impact Practices, this animated short (all analogue!) made its festival premiere in London in 2025.

BOY MODE

BOY MODE (2024) is Dylan Albertson’s live-action directorial debut. Above is a clip run through VHS of the “DAMAGE CONTROL” sequence, a moment in the story where Reese (Sativa Green), running away from a complicated relationship with her mother (Deonna Marie), has her world rocked by the enigmatic drag aerialist Tabitha Acid (Dylan Albertson) set to “Damage Control” by Stepmom.

Co-directed and co-written by Dylan Albertson and Andromeda Johnson, BOY MODE (2024) stars local drag entertainers Sativa Green (Reese), Silas Traughber-Hill (Moth), Heartland Emmy award-winning singer Deonna Marie (Mama), Adèle Wolf (Jenny), and Dylan Albertson (Tabitha Acid). This project was executive produced by Factory Obscura and made possible with a THRIVE! Grant through the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation.
